Gasket in between the cylinder and the air compressor pump valve plate.

If the air compressor pump doesn't seem to pressurize as quickly as it should or is leaking in between the head, valve plate, cylinder, or crankcase while running, there's a good chance you need to install new gaskets. You can spray soapy water on the pump while it's running to inspect if any bubbles are forming, which would indicate a leak.
