Repair Parts for the Coleman Sanborn models BL0501510, BL0502710, BL0602710 Portable Oil-Free Air Compressors

Specifications

  • When replacing the 048-0074M piston/cylinder kit, do not push the piston in the cylinder from below or this will damage the piston ring and void your warranty. ALWAYS pull the connected rod down through the cylinder until it is 1/2 way down the cylinder, then slide the connecting rod down through the aluminum housing and turn crank until the rod will slide over the bearing.
  • Tighten the connecting rod to the crank to approx. 40-50 in lbs. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!
  • If your eccentric/crankshaft has any wear and your new piston/cylinder kit is not tight on the eccentric/crankshaft, a small amount of your new connecting rod ID may need to be removed. To do this, simply remove the retaining screw of the connecting rod, insert the connecting rod in a vise and take a hacksaw and make a cut where the connecting rod joins together (below the screw you just removed), just one hacksaw blade width. This will allow you to tighten your screw up a little more on the eccentric/crankshaft.
  • Make sure to keep the air filter (002) clean. Grit will destroy your new piston and cylinder!
