The California Air Tools (CAT) 20040DCADC Ultra Quiet, Oil-Free Air Compressor with Air Drying System and Automatic Drain Valve is designed to be one of the industry's quietest 4 HP air compressors, with only 75 decibels of sound. The powerful 2 HP (SP-9421-22060) twin motors operate at just 1,680 RPM creating less noise and less wear. Designed for the user looking for power, airflow, and less service and maintenance with at least 30% less noise!

The "SP" series of ultra-quiet air compressor motors have been designed to increase duty cycle and allow for longer continuous run times (i.e. 5.3 CFM @ 90 PSI, or up to 30-40 minutes at a time, at 10.6 CFM @ 40 PSI).

The 20040DCADC air compressor has an oil-free, dual-piston pump engineered for high performance and durability and designed to have a life cycle of 3,000+ hours compared to 1,500 hours or less for other comparable air compressors. The oil-free pump allows for use in a wide variety of temperatures and uneven terrains.

The air dryer is specially designed to remove up to 98% of the water vapor from the air to protect sensitive tools and machinery. 

The aftercooler is a heat exchanger for cooling the discharge air from the air compressor. The water vapor from the compressed air is condensed into liquid form and pushed into the air dryer.

The easy-to-replace "spin-on" air dryer cartridge has a regenerating high-temperature molecular sieve desiccant to dry the air. This cartridge dryer has a life of 2 years before replacement.

The large 20-gallon steel air tank is lightweight and easy to move around--just the right size for the garage or shop.
