Pilot Unloader Valve, 125 / 155 PSI #0E3734

Air compressor pilot unloader valve, preset to cut in at 125 PSI and cut out at 155 PSI.

The pilot/unloader valve is the "brains" of the air compressor, like the pressure switch on an electric air compressor. It senses the pressure in the tank and is mated to the throttle control assembly. Once the unit is started from 0 PSI, the pilot valve/throttle control valve combo starts in a "load" position and kicks the engine into its higher, running RPM. Once the compressor reaches its maximum PSI, the pilot valve/throttle control kicks the engine down to its slower, idling RPM speed and vents the air out of an exhaust port in the pilot valve.
