If you have a sudden loss of performance, replacing the cylinder sleeve and piston ring usually restores compression in oil-free units. Inspect the reed valves also but unless the valves are obviously broken or cracked, the problem is the compression ring and cylinder and replacing this kit should make the compressor run like new again!

The piston sleeve is 2 ½ inch diameter by 1 ¾ tall. Overall length of the rod is 6 ¼ inches.

Due to a design change to the pump's connecting rod used on the compressor models listed above, the DC200159AV service kit has changed. Previously, the connecting rod was split and machined to allow the connecting rod to be loosened and removed from the original bearing on the eccentric. The new style connecting rod is pressed onto the bearing, which in turn is pressed onto the shaft of the eccentric. This means that if the connecting rod on the unit needs to be replaced, the original bearing will need to be removed from the eccentric and the replacement connecting rod assembly with the bearing pressed into it will need to be pressed onto the shaft of the eccentric.
